Department of National Defense Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro, Jr., together with Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner, Jr., Philippine Navy Flag Officer in Command Vice Admiral Toribio D Adaci Jr. and other key AFP officers, visited and inspected Nonoc Island in Surigao del Norte for the possibility of establishing a multi joint-use military facility to secure the Surigao Strait.
