At least 706 prisoners or person’s deprived of liberty (PDL’s) flash their certificates of discharge , along with some gifts their received including grooming kit, gratuity, and transportation allowance in a ceremony at the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City. Bureau of Correction chief Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr said the release of the inmates who came from various jails and penal farms in the country was the result of their acquittal, having served maximum sentence, grant of bail, probation or parole, or thru writ of habeas corpus.
