Ariana Grande has announced the realization of a dream collaboration with her idol, Mariah Carey, through a remix of her hit single “Yes, And?”.
The exciting news dropped on Wednesday after both singers mysteriously changed their Instagram profile pictures to matching close-up shots of their eyes.
“I cannot believe the words I am typing. Yes, And? Remix featuring the one and only, queen of my heart, and lifelong inspiration Mariah Carey is out this Friday (EST),” wrote Ariana in her Instagram post.
The pop singer also expressed her gratitude towards Mariah for making her dream come true.
“There truly are no words that suffice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this dream come true and for sprinkling your brilliance and magic on my little song @mariahcarey. It means more to me than I could ever possibly articulate, and I cannot wait for everyone to hear this! I love you eternally,” she added.
This isn’t their first collaboration. In 2020, they joined forces on a festive remix of Carey’s “Oh Santa!” alongside Jennifer Hudson for her “Magical Christmas Special.”
Ariana has long admired Mariah, calling her an “idol and inspiration,” a sentiment evident since her 2012 cover of Carey’s “Emotions”.
“Yes, And?” is part of Ariana’s upcoming seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine”, which will be released on March 8.
