The National Basketball Association (NBA) on Friday announced that the league’s 13th Lunar New Year (LNY) Celebration will take place from Saturday, Feb. 3 – Saturday, Feb. 24, and will feature an LNY promotion in the Philippines across the NBA Stores at SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia.
The NBA Stores in Metro Manila will participate in the celebration through its “Pick & Pop” promotion, which runs from Monday, Feb. 5 – Sunday, Feb. 11. For a minimum in-store purchase of Php 5,000 on a single receipt, fans will have the opportunity to select a red envelope, which will offer a chance to win special prizes, including gift vouchers and NBA t-shirts.
NBA team celebrations tipped off on Monday, Jan. 29 when the Oklahoma City Thunder visited the Detroit Pistons. Twenty-five NBA teams will celebrate the Year of the Dragon with in-arena activations, local community initiatives, and social and digital content: the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, LA Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and Utah Jazz.
