Young singer and actress Belle Mariano finds healing, purpose, and determination in her latest EP, And Solemn, unveiled at the SM City North Edsa Skydome on Jan. 27.
The five-track EP features “Nobody Else,” a love song about finding the right person, composed by KZ Tandingan. Other tracks include “Walang Pake” by Trisha Denise, “Shot Me Right Through” by Angelica Tagadtad, “I Choose Me” by Anjila Lim, and “Autumn,” a collaboration with Ben&Ben for the hit series Can’t Buy Me Love, composed by Paolo Benjamin G. Guico and Miguel Benjamin G. Guico. All tracks are produced by Belle and StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos.
And Solemn completes Belle’s two-part album, following Somber released in June 2023.
During the launch, Belle received the Lullaby Artist Award from Spotify. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to grow in music: “Creating music is a way for me to express myself. Thank you to everyone who loves and supports Filipino music.”
Among the attendees were StarPop label head Rox Santos, ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo, and ABS-CBN Music head Roxy Liquigan, who announced Belle’s upcoming birthday concert.
Belle is turning 22 in June.
