Manila Electric Company (Meralco) installs a new 115-kilovolt (kV) capacitor bank at its Duhat Substation in Bocaue, Bulacan as part of its continuing pursuit to ensure delivery of safe, stable and reliable power to its customers. The energization of the new capacitor bank improves voltage regulation, reduces system loss, improves system efficiency and prevents the risk of power interruption posed by the growing problem in the system due to megavolt-ampere reactive (MVAR) deficiency in the areas of Bocaue, Bulacan and adjacent municipalities.
