ALERT policemen have foiled a kidnap attempt, arrested four suspects and rescued the victim, a Chinese businesswoman, Monday morning along Roxas Blvd. in Pasay City.
The suspects, tentatively identified only by their aliases Joe, 43; Jhing, 27; John, 25, and Arn-arn, 47, were nabbed by patrolling police officers of the Pasay City Police Substation 1.
One of the suspects allegedly introduced himself as a police officer, but turned out to be untrue.
They are currently detained at Pasay City Police Substation while appropriate criminal complaints were being readied against them.
The arresting policemen, while conducting their routine patrol, cornered the suspects on board a black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and rescued the victim.
The suspects were also found in possession of firearms, drugs, and other contrabands.
Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes commended the vigilance of the arresting police officers and the cooperation of witnesses, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the public.
