LnB Zambales elects new officers to champion grassroots development

A significant moment unfolded as the Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) Zambales Provincial Chapter elected its new set of officers in the nationwide synchronized LnB Provincial Chapter Elections on Jan. 12, 2024, held at Balin Sambali, Iba, Zambales.

In a resounding commitment to holistic service and effective grassroots representation, the LnB Zambales Provincial Chapter, composed of the 13 Municipal LnB Chapter Presidents, warmly welcomed Hon. Nestor E. Pacheco of Candelaria, Zambales, as their provincial liga president—who will serve as an ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

Hon. Richard N. Redondo from Iba won as the Vice President, with Hon. Maureen E. Arquero of San Marcelino as Auditor. Meanwhile, Hon. Yam S. Dadural of Castillejos, Hon. Edgar M. Aximoso of Subic, Hon. Rolando C. Borja of San Antonio, Hon. Dana F. Damaso of San Felipe, Hon. Lloyd E. Ambuyoc of Palauig and Hon. Fernando D. Oñate Jr., of Botolan were elected as the Liga Board Members.

Ensuring a fair and smooth electoral process, Romualdo P. Ramos, Civil Society Organization (CSO) Representative, alongside LnB Municipal Presidents Hon. Christian Pierre T. Nacin of Masinloc and Hon. Roel D. Torres of Cabangan, served as the Board of Election Supervisors. Meanwhile, assisting the Provincial LnB were former LnB President Raedag A. Villamin Jr., DILG Provincial Director Martin Porres B. Moral, and DILG Personnel.

The Election Committee and Board of Canvassers, chaired by Hon. Maureen E. Arquero of San Marcelino, with members Hon. Edgar M. Aximoso of Subic and Hon. Jessie A. Requiño of San Narciso, facilitated the election process. The EleComm subsequently facilitated the nomination and voting process.

This election marks a significant milestone in the province’s journey towards grassroots development, as the newly-elected LnB Provincial Chapter Officers stand ready to champion the cause of progress and inclusivity within their respective communities.
