In a groundbreaking collaboration, Carry Fighting Championship (CFC) has partnered with the legendary Filipino boxer, Manny Pacquiao, to catalyze the development of professional boxing in Taiwan.

The newly established fight promotion has appointed Pacquiao as its honorary president, marking a significant step towards its inaugural event scheduled in March.

Jerry Yen, the CEO of CFC’s Taiwan Fighting Co., Ltd, envisions the fight league as the epitome of Taiwanese fighting sports, poised to usher in a new era of professional boxing in Taiwan.

“Manny Pacquiao’s participation adds a legendary touch to the league, and we believe it will be a crucial moment for Taiwan to shine on the global fighting stage,” said Yen, emphasizing the global impact of this collaboration.

Pacquiao, the unparalleled eight-division world boxing champion, personally graced the launch event in Taiwan, sharing the stage with renowned figures such as Taiwanese Designer Daniel Wong and Sports Emmy Award-winner Billy Drummed, who assumes the role of Chief Operating Officer.

Wong, a luminary in Taiwan’s fashion scene, contributed to the league’s identity by designing a distinctive logo that seamlessly merges elements of fashion and art.

Beyond organizing professional fighting events and introducing novel sports experiences in Taiwan, Yen expressed CFC’s ambition to also cultivate local boxing talent.

“Taiwan has never lacked boxing prowess, but we lack stages for these talents to shine beyond the Olympics and Asian Games. CFC aspires to be the platform that propels the professionalization of the sport in Taiwan,” said Yen.

Su Hsiao-ken of Kenjon Boxing Center of Motion, a gym partner of CFC, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the growth of Taiwan’s boxing culture.

“Taiwan has never lacked boxing talent, but we don’t have other stages for them to shine other than the Olympics and Asian Games. I hope the CFC will serve as a stage that facilitates the professionalization of the sport,” said Su as quoted by news website Focus Taiwan.
