Santa Rosa City, Laguna– Santa Rosa City inaugurated on Tuesday its the newest and biggest Senior Citizen building in Barangay Dita of this city.
According to Mayor Arlene Arcillas who led the opening rites along with Senator Francis Tolentino, the facility was a gift of the senator to the more than 4,000 senior citizens of Dita.
Arcillas thanked Tolentino for the speedy construction of the building that will serve as the function hall for the elderlies of Dita.
The two-story building that cost millions of pesos can also be used for evacuation during calamities, according to the barangay officials.
Dita barangay chairman Totie Dela Rosa and senior citizens president Nenette Navarang also thanked Sen Tolentino and Mayor Arcillas for the speedy completion of the building they can call their own.
In his remarks, Tolentino said the senior citizens have a special place in his heart, that’s why he could not deny their request for the building.
