The City Health Office (CHO) of the City Government of Tuguegarao successfully held the World’s Aids Day celebration in collaboration with the LGBTQIA+ Community, bar owners, and entertainers in Macapagal.
The activity started with a motorcade led by the CHO from Rizal’s Park to the Barangay Gymnasium of Ugac Sur. A seminar on HIV Awareness and Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign followed.
Before the program ended, LGBTQIA+ members held various sports fest activities, including volleyball and basketball, supervised by City Sports Coordinator Robert Fugaban.
The said activity was attended by City Mayor Maila Rosario S. Ting-Que, together with City Councilor Boyet Ortiz and former LGBTQIA+ Community President Christian Cabalza.
Meanwhile, LGBTQIA COMMUNITY-Tuguegarao City Chapter President Carla Badajos is very grateful to the city mayor for her help and support in observing World Aids Day this year.
