President Marcos spearheaded the launch of the Office of the President (OP) Family Day on Saturday at the Malacañang grounds, extending his appreciation to OP employees for their tireless efforts and commitment to serving the people and the country.

Addressing the crowd during the event, President Marcos expressed gratitude, stating that Family Day serves as a way to thank them.

“ As leaders of the Office of the President, this is our way of thanking all of you for the excellent work you’ve been doing,” President Marcos said.

He recalled advice from his late father, President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., to “overpay” the personnel and staff assisting the administration.

The President also conveyed holiday greetings during the OP Family Day, telling employees to take a break as Christmas Day is inching closer.

“Kaya ‘yan ang ating… Ngunit, Pasko. Kaya bakasyon nang kaunti. Mag-relax nang kaunti. Magpasaya nang kaunti. Merry Christmas sa inyong lahat. Maraming salamat sa inyong serbisyo. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year na isasama ko,” the President said.

(So, that’s our… But, Christmas. Take a bit of vacation. Relax a bit. Enjoy a bit. Merry Christmas to all of you. Thank you for your service. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year that I will celebrate with you) The OP Family Week is an annual event following a tradition established in 1992 by former President Fidel V. Ramos, who declared the last week of September as Family Week. The celebration emphasizes the importance of family ties and the security they provide.

Rescheduled to December, the event aligns with three key projects championed by the President and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos: LAB for All, Serbisyo Fair, and Kadiwa.

Both Lab for All and Serbisyo Fair extended invitations to all employees and one family member, serving approximately 4,000 individuals. Lab for All provides free medical consultations, while Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) offers various government social service programs.

Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) provides an array of services and affordably priced goods during the event, aiming to alleviate the financial burden of the Christmas season through inter-agency collaboration that embodies the spirit of generosity and community outreach.
