National Irrigation Administration acting administrator Eddie Guillen and Ostrom Climate Solutions Inc. president and chief executive Phill Cull sign a memorandum of understanding for the implementation of ‘The Climate-Smart Rice Project in Upper Pampanga River Integrated Irrigation Systems’ on Oct. 20, 2023 in Quezon City. The project aims to contribute to the achievement of rice security and resiliency in the country. This can be achieved by increasing water productivity in national irrigation systems (NISs) while reducing carbon emission in irrigated rice cultivation.
