Some members of the administration’s Cabinet should be kicked out for not doing their job, according to Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri.
“We need to crack to crack the whip. Officials who are not doing their job should be replaced,” Zubiri stressed.
He said there should be no empathy if talking about love for the country and the people.
“I wish I could name names, but I will first talk to the President,” Zubiri said.
He also suggested that the root cause of price increases should also be established.
“Wake up call ito, dapat matigil natin ito,” he further stated, adding that the people were ‘quite angry’ due to several reasons, including the runaway prices taking place in the country.
“It’s altogether because if they see our officials, whether in the House of Representatives, Senate, Office of the President, they are sort of mad,” Zubiri said.
He said this was the reason for the government leaders’ decline in their approval rating based on the latest survey of Pulse Asia.
“Thankfully, mine was just a single digit,” he said.
He exhorted his fellow public officials to address all the concerns of the Filipino people after learning their pulse.
