The National Housing Authority (NHA) has officially awarded lots to 66 families who are long-time residents of Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pasig City.

Kristiansen Gotis, NHA East Sector officer in charge, along with Monn Alexander Ong, represented NHA general manager Joeben Tai and spearheaded the distribution of lot awards.

The 66 beneficiaries have been residing at the Soldier’s Village for about 10- 20 years now, and that the grant of lot awards certified their ownership of the lots, Gotis said.

The awarded lots are covered under Proclamation No. 458 signed by Former President Fidel V. Ramos on Aug. 29, 1994.

Under this Proclamation, untitled properties and titled government-owned lands located along the Manggahan Floodway in the municipalities of Cainta and Taytay, Rizal, and Pasig City totaling 123.993 hectares were transferred to the NHA to be used for the country’s socialized housing programs.

Tai said the momentous event is part of the NHA’s efforts to help more Filipino families realize their dream of owning a home.

With the NHA’s Build Better and More Housing Program, supporting the flagship program of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program, the Authority is determined to provide quality, safe and affordable housing for Filipino families in need.
