THE National Housing Authority (NHA) under general manager Joeben Tai, has bagged the 2023 GADtimpala Silver for Outstanding Gender-Responsive Agency, and Exemplary GAD Focal Point System awards yearly commissioned by the Philippine Commission on Women.
The PCW’s GADtimpala Selection Process expressed its recognition of the NHA’s continued efforts in the practice of outstanding performance in gender mainstreaming and effective implementation of gender-responsive programs.
“It is another milestone for the NHA to be acknowledged and appreciated for GAD best practices and gender-responsive programs. Indeed, I am very proud that the Authority commits to promoting gender equality,” Tai said.
In more than 20 years, the NHA has spearheaded initiatives in promoting gender equality through its policies in its workplaces and housing programs.
Tai thanked the men and women behind the agency’s GAD focal point system for their dedication and commitment to undertaking development efforts toward women empowerment.
He reiterated that the agency would continue to improve its best GAD practices for the benefit not only of its employees but of the beneficiaries and stakeholders as well.
“Rest assured that the NHA will continue to provide better technology, better policy, and better procedures that are gender-sensitive and gender-responsive to the needs of our clients and beneficiaries,” he said.
