Big stars to light up the Skydome

More foreign music acts coming to PH for must-see concerts

Missed your favorite Korean actress, Lee Sung Kyung, last weekend at the Skydome? Don’t fret because from July until November, Skydome is packed with exciting activities as big acts light up the local concert scene.

A series of unforgettable events kicks off with Mr. Big’s bittersweet farewell on August 9. The hard rock supergroup has sold over four million albums worldwide and will perform their chart-topping hits like “To Be With You” and “Just Take My Heart.”

Thai actor and ‘Midnight Museum’ star Tor Thanapob

Lakorn fans will be thrilled to know that Tor Thanapob Leeratanakachron, popularly known as Tor Thanapob, will grace the Skydome on August 13 for his first fan meeting in Manila. He is loved by the Filipinos as Gabriel in The Last Promise, Roy/Mico in Man of Vengeance, and Anton in Switch.

On September 9, Thailand’s hit band, Tilly Birds, will make their first-ever appearance in front of their Filipino fans. The indie rock trio composed of lead vocalist Anuroth Ketlekha (Third), guitarist Nutdanai Chuchat (Billy), and drummer Thuwanon Tantiwattanaworakul (Milo), are known for hit songs such as “Same Page,” “Just Being Friendly,” and “Until Then.”

Mark your calendars for September 21 when three iconic Bay Area thrash metal bands Testament, Exodus, and Death Angel unite for the Bay Strikes Back Tour in Manila, offering some headbangin’ music.

Against the Current, the American pop-rock band will bring their Nightmares and Daydreams 2023 world tour to the Philippines on October 8. Expect to sing your heart out to their popular hits like “blindfold,” “Teenagers,” and “Wildfire.”

Silverstein, the Canadian band, will rock your Halloween night on October 31. Prepare for an unforgettable performance featuring their notable songs such as “Discovering The Waterfront,” “Hear Me Out,” “My Heroine,” and the iconic “Smile In Your Sleep.”

To cap off the series of fantastic concerts, American rock band Saosin will take you on a trip down memory lane with their Asia Tour 2023 Live in Manila on November 3 and 4. Join Anthony Green, Beau Burchell, Chris Sorenson, and Alex Rodriguez as they perform all their albums and hits live, inviting Filipino emo and post-hardcore rock fans for a special two-night show.
