Liam cheers fellow 1D member Zayn on his upcoming music

Directioners must be celebrating right now as Zayn Malik and Liam Payne of the boy group One Direction just had an interaction for the first time in years.

In a reel posted by Zayn, he seemed to hint at an upcoming music release, and Liam used this chance to support and cheer on his fellow member.

“This sounds big already,” Liam wrote.

1D fans couldn’t contain their happiness as Zayn also replied and expressed his gratitude to his old friend.

“Appreciate it, bro. Thanks for the love,” answered Zayn.

With this, fans are still waiting for more interactions from the members after Zayn announced his departure from the group in March 2015 and a reunion concert was mentioned following the remaining members’ decision to pursue solo activities in 2016.
