The Fast and Furious franchise has enthralled global audiences for two decades, evolving from street racing to heists and espionage, while staying true to fast cars, action, and family.

With Fast X, the franchise delivers all the essential elements and more in the franchise’s epic final chapters. Directed by Louis Leterrier, the all-star cast includes returning actors Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Ludacris Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, and Scott Eastwood, along with exceptional newcomers such as Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, and legendary Oscar winner Rita Moreno.

In Fast X, Dom Toretto has a new responsibility – his son Little Brian – and faces a dangerous foe, Dante, unlike any other adversary he has faced.

Jason Momoa plays the new antagonist of ‘Fast X’

Dante, portrayed by Momoa, has analyzed and learned from Dom for twenty years, making him a formidable and unpredictable enemy.

“Dante was dead for two minutes and came back to avenge his family,” producer Jeff Kirschenbaum explains. “He’s taking Dom’s reputation, fracturing his family, and framing the entire team.”

Momoa was thrilled to play the villain in the franchise.

“I hadn’t played a villain in about 10 years, and the opportunity to have that role in this franchise meant so much to me,” Momoa says. “It was fun to figure out his specific balance of playfulness and psychopathy. Dom doesn’t understand how tricky and sly Dante is, and how Dante has duped him into his web.”

Star and producer Vin Diesel reflects on the franchise’s impact, saying, “When we made the first movie, we filmed it in L.A. and it was a regional story. We never anticipated its global implications or appeal. We certainly didn’t anticipate that we would travel all over the world and take the theme of family around it.”

Fast X,  a Universal Pictures International presentation, will race into cinemas nationwide starting May 17. Advance tickets are available at your favorite cinemas nationwide. Follow Universal Pictures PH on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
