Mayor Jopet Inton cites Barangay Sumalo in the western part of Hermosa as one of the engines of growth in his progressive municipality.
Playing a vital role is the development of a township in a 200-hectare of land to be spearheaded by Riverforest Development Corporation (RDC).
According to Inton, the development he envisions for Hermosa is being catapulted by the ongoing infrastructure projects that will connect the various parts of the municipality into “One Hermosa, ” which is aligned with the vision of One Bataan.
“The decisions of the court upholding the conversion status of the property owned by RDC cleared the path for the development of Sumalo,” says Dani Beltran, estate and community development manager of RDC.
“But there are urgent tasks to perform for us to be able to rev up the engine, ” said Beltran.
“For one, barangay officials must embrace and supportive of the development thrust of the municipality in Sumalo”.
