President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is opening Malacañang Palace to showcase the talents of various local performing artists and underscore the importance of the country’s creative industry.
Marcos initiated the “Konsyerto sa Palasyo,” with its first show slated to be on the evening of April 22. The first guests are members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and their families.
The concert aims to recognize the military’s sacrifices in maintaining the nation’s sovereignty, peace, and security. Performers from Cebu, Ilocos Norte, Quezon, Cavite, Iloilo, Metro Manila, and Davao will take the stage to entertain the troops and their kin.
The KSP is a concert series set in various locations within the Palace compound that will feature the country’s best artists. The event aims to highlight the nation’s rich culture and world class talent in the performing arts.
Mr. Marcos believes that the creative industry sector should not be left out in the country’s recovery and progress.
The President also vowed to improve the country’s creative industry and promote the talents of Filipinos as he also appointed film director Paul Soriano as Presidential Adviser for creative communications last year.
The said event will be open for live streaming in Facebook on Radio Television Malacanang (RTVM), Office of the President, and President Marcos’ official page.
