Keempee de Leon, Maric Racal, Awra Briguela, Gladys Reyes, Eugene Domingo, and Xilhouette all had their moments in the film Here Comes the Groom. But Enchong Dee and Kaladkaren had a more challenging time essaying their roles.
“I will always be grateful to Kaladkaren for being generous to me as an actor. Siya rin ang kalahati ng movie,“ Enchong, who portrays the titular role of the groom possessed by the Kaladkaren’s character, said during the film’s press screening.
“Bawat eksena, gigisingin pa siya ng production to ask him kung paano gagawin eksena ko. Ganun siya ka generous,” the actor added.
“Nagpapasalamat din ako nang buong puso kay Enchong for helping me act like a man. Bawat eksena tinatanong ko din siya how to deliver ‘yung mga linya,“ Kaladkaren said in turn.
Directed by Chris Martinez, Here Comes the Groom is the sequel to the hit movie Here Comes the Bride (2010), which starred Angelica Panganiban, Eugene Domingo, John Lapus, Tuesday Vargas, and Jaime Fabregas.
Here Comes the Groom is much more hilarious as it delves into the unique story of Rodrigo, Sr.’s family who attends his son Junior’s wedding in the middle of a solar eclipse.
While traversing a magnetic field, they figure in an accident with the family of gay pageant contestants – Mama Wendy, Wanda, Winona, and their trainee Whitney.
Here Comes the Groom, produced by Quantum Films, Cineko Productions, and Brightlight Productions, also stars Tony Tabrusca and Miles Ocampo playing equally wacky roles.
