Alternergy Holdings Corp., through wholly-owned subsidiary Alternergy Tanay Wind Corp., is developing the 100-megawatt Tanay wind power project in Tanay, Rizal.
Alternergy will proceed with the project following the height clearance issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. “This is a major permitting clearance for our Tanay Wind Power Project. With the height clearance from CAAP, the project development can proceed,” Alternergy president Gerry Magbanua said.
The project will rise in Tanay’s distinctly hilly and mountainous geography at an elevation of 300 to 600 meters above sea level. Alternergy’s 84-meter meteorological mast and light detection and ranging or LIDAR technology has measured promising wind resource data since 2019.
The project site is adjacent to the proven wind resource of Alternergy’s 54-MW Pililla Rizal wind farm, which has been operating since 2015.
