The United States government has donated vehicles to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group for the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Clark International Airport to go after drug traders and syndicates.

The US Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) Affairs turned over the two units of Toyota Hilux Fleet vans at the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City.

The ceremony was attended by ex-US ambassador to the Republic of Namibia Lisa Johnson, now the acting principal deputy assistant secretary of INL.

The INL has long supported the Philippine government’s anti-drug efforts through the donation of office facilities and equipment, vehicles, personal protective gear, chemical analysis equipment for the PDEA laboratory service, and drug detection equipment for the Airport Drug Interdiction Task Groups.
