San Miguel Corp., together with Rural Rising Ph, rescues over 1.7 million kilograms of fruits and vegetables from farmers struggling to sell their harvests since the pandemic started in 2020. SMC’s partnership with RuRi has helped boost incomes of about 4,500 farmers in Luzon and provided consumers with fruits and vegetables at affordable prices through the company’s Better World Diliman community center.
