King of Talk Boy Abunda confirms his desire to go back to television amid rumors that he is moving back to GMA-7.
“As to the question if I’m moving, actually, I keep on moving. I just want to move. But at this point, I have not much to say. I guess, let’s reserve that for another press conference. One thing is definite though: I want to go back to the television scene,” he avers.
But in the absence of television, he was able to shift successfully to other digital platforms.
“Yes, and I’m thankful for that. I was thrown in there by circumstance. For one, I’m not a digital expert or a digital native. But I was forced to learn to be able to do my interviews. By God’s grace, I was given the chance. But as to what’s going to happen in the coming days, a lot of things are bound to happen. A lot of movements within or without wherever I am, but as I’ve said, I want to go back to television.”
The King of Talk admits that he is presently in talks with different TV networks.
“I won’t deny that. I’m in conversation with various groups. But there is nothing concrete yet. I haven’t signed any contract yet.”
Tito Boy assures that whatever decision he makes, there will be no bridges burned.
“I value my relationships. That makes this whole process difficult. There are relationships which I take very good care of. Like what I always say, I started my television career with GMA. That’s where I learned how to walk, so to speak. Then, I flew to ABS-CBN. The rest is history.”
Interestingly, what kind of show should be offered to him that would make him sign a contract?
“Perhaps, that which understands where I am or where I should be. I’m not a 20 year-old who is just about to start my career in television. I’ve been doing this stuff for the longest time already.
“Let’s be very honest: I’m already nearing the ‘has been’ stage for lack of a better word. All of us will go. Nothing lasts forever in the ‘biz. So, I’m in that stage where I want to go back to where I belong and be able to do what I do best,” says Boy.

In a recent media conference, Enzo Pineda revealed that his girlfriend Michelle Vito advised him to take it easy when it comes to accepting sexy roles.
“I understand where she’s coming from. I respect her viewpoint and really appreciate her concern,” he said.
The actor thinks his lady love has a point.
“Perhaps, with the projects I’ve done in the past, I can say that I’ve been through a lot of sexy portrayals. Michelle’s advice is for me to take it one step at a time because there is a tendency that I’ll be typecast to such kinds of roles and it will be hard for me to progress or nab other interesting and meaty parts. Perhaps, I will just do it once in a while.”
Enzo doesn’t have regrets doing sexy materials though.
“As an actor, I believe it’s important to try to do various genres once in your life so that at the end, you can say you’ve done them. One thing more, even if I did sexy potboilers, the stories and themes are different from one another. I just have to be conscious about it since being a star, there are people who look up to you.”
On the lighter side, the good-looking young actor was asked about his viewpoint on marriage.
“When it comes to that, I will make sure that my future wife and I will be together through thick and thin. Especially now that there are lots of couples who exchange I do’s but just separate in the end. This just ruins the true value or essence of marriage.
“I guess, if you really want to tie the knots, better be sure that the other person is the ‘One.’ Many believe that marriage is a gateway to happiness that once you enter it, your life will be happy. But it doesn’t mean that you won’t meet stumbling blocks or problems along the way. When you get married, you have to be committed to be with your partner come hell or high waters,” ended Enzo.
