The supreme reign of SB19

A flashback has never carried this kind of a wallop and we have Pinoy Pop Royalty SB19 to thank because of its latest song, “Wyat” or “Where You At.”

The song is not only sending the disco groove and vibes, but the message of staying connected in these troubled times also pulls at your heartstrings without the mush and blushing red cheeks.

The majority of the fans scream in delight and kilig because of the nostalgic settings in the videos produced by SB19 Pinuno Pablo Nase and his brother Josue.

The nostalgic settings in the videos bring ‘kilig’ to SB19 fans

The 1950s vibe in the diner scene and the attention to detail are most evident in the outfits, hair, milkshakes, and the James Dean-ish visuals of Ken Suson and Josh Cullen Santos. One will not only get the decadence and all of the fun that dominated the ‘70s and the ‘80s,  it will also make you feel that extra special bump, grind and swag courtesy of Stell Ajero plus Santos’s twirls and jumps while on roller skates.

Justin de Dios looks like the rich kid which one covets from a distance. And then the arcade segment, with its machines and trippy neon lights, and the electrical energy that only this Filipino quintet can radiate.

“Wyat” has been receiving so much love from the shrieking fans since it dropped on September 2. It is number one on the iTunes Chart of the Philippines, Qatar, UAE, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong, it dominates three charts specifically the All Genres, Pop Category, and Dance/Electronic. It holds the #1 spot in Singapore and UAE and #15 on Canada iTunes Chart and  #2 in Antigua and Barbuda.

Pablo, Josh, Justin, Ken, and Stell are on the cover of Tidal’s New Arrivals: Global Pop playlist – another massive international moment for our “yabang” Pinoy in a great way.

The official music video has already amassed almost a million views since it premiered on YouTube and the digits are adding up every minute. In most of the major streaming platforms, they let us connect with each other, and forever pop song gets the appreciation and streams it deserves.

Let us not even go to the video reactions from local and international music vloggers who are universal with their praises for the freshest anthem from SB19.

Furthermore, the feat by the group gets the support of OPM icons namely Ogie Alcasid and Dingdong Avanzado. Even millennial bombshell Sanya Lopez digs the ditty.  Credit and congratulations are in order of course to all the A’TIN fandoms all over the planet. They are doing their share in making sure that Mahalima’s new song will have massive exposure on all the important social media sites and streaming platforms. Truly, the A’TINs are the wind beneath the wings of Nase, Santos, De Dios, Suson, and Ajero.

Another major plus factor of the song is its danceable tempo and the easy-to-remember lyrics. Hearing it for the first time urges the listener to just get up, dance, and sing together with these male wonders.

What is next for SB19? The already sold-out concert at the Araneta Coliseum is a solid indicator that they have fans and supporters with fantastic purchasing power since the tickets to the one-night-only shindig were sold out in 24 hours.

The P-Pop Kings phenomenon is unstoppable especially now that major brands have seen their power and value in not only bringing awareness to their brands but the revenues as well. For now, they are the faces and ambassadors of a pizza chain, electronic cash, donuts, and computer products.

‘Where You At’ sends disco groove and vibes while reminding listeners to stay connected during troubled times

World domination is not just a dream as it is truly manifesting and will happen in Singapore, the US, UAE, and more. To SB19, this republic’s standard bearer of world-class Filipino talent, your reign in pop music is definitely supreme! Bravo!
