Jollibee Foods Corp. opens its flagship store in Times Square, New York City. The new store is the brand’s fourth location in the state, following Jollibee Group’s large-scale plans of expanding its presence in the United States and Canada and establishing 500 stores in the next five to seven years. Enthusiastic fans lined up as early as 8:30 p.m. of the previous day to welcome the opening day on Aug. 18.
