Customs NAIA collector Carmelita Talusan expressed gratitude to all the BoC stakeholders, saying they were key to the success of the Port of NAIA. She assured them that the facility would continue to introduce reforms and initiatives meant to promote ease of doing business and trade facilitation.

“We will continue to work to provide quality public service to all while staying true to our mandates of trade facilitation, border protection and lawful revenue collection,” she said.

Talusan also commended her deputy collectors for their unwavering dedication which has resulted to their success.

The Port of NAIA continues to innovate its processes and procedures to adopt with global trends and innovations.

This is in compliance with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to push for “measures to determine possible undervaluation or trade mis-invoicing of imported goods and promote streamlined processes through information and communications technology.”

Talusan attributed the port’s positive performance to its improved modernized systems and streamlined Customs processes. She also recognized the efforts and support of the entire Customs-NAIA team to the reform initiatives in revenue collection.

“As the nation gears up towards economic growth, BoC-NAIA, under the leadership of new Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, would remain committed to be a gateway to international travelers and air cargo Importers as it remains one of the nation’s premiere Ports,” she said.
