A new streaming platform to delight OFWs

Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) sacrifice much when traveling to foreign lands in search of greener pastures. While the government, organizations, and private individuals already recognize their efforts, it sometimes doesn’t make up for the longing and hardships they had to overcome alone.

Luckily, OFWs have several outlets in their countries to pass the time and keep themselves entertained. OFWs also turn to Philippine teleseryes and movies to curb their homesickness since they can watch their favorite artists and stay updated with the latest trends.

Now, they have an option to watch Filipino movies and series through a new homegrown streaming platform called Juanetworx.

As another Philippines-based streaming platform, Juanetworx is the “first all-around entertainment and emergency app” envisioned by the late healing priest Fr. Fernando Suarez.

Film producer Edith R. Fider of Saranggola Media is among the primary authorities behind Juanetworx, launched on July 21 at Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan City.

She said during the launch that Suarez guided her and her close friends, Joven Tan and Gregorio Serrano, when they started a small production. Looking back, she feels fulfilled as their humble beginnings led them to open a digital network.

“Mula noong ginabayan kami ni Fr. Suarez, lahat ng mga prophecies niya sa amin, nagkatotoo,” Fider said.

Juanetworx serves as their legacy and aims to give back to the people who helped her get to where she is now.

“Kaming mga nagsama-sama rito, hindi lang basta nagsama-sama. Kami’y pinag-isa ng iisang layunin, ng iisang damdamin na kami’y makapaghatid ng saya at makatulong sa mga mamamayang Pilipino sa buong mundo,” she said.

Some of the shows that will be available on the platform are movies produced by Saranggola Media and directed by Tan, including Yorme: The Isko Domagoso Story, Suarez: The Healing Priest, and Ayuda Babes.

More media personalities will also grace the Juanetworx space as it’ll offer genres from comedy to children’s shows to horror.

YouTuber Bernie Batin will star in The Sari-Sari Show, while renowned paranormal expert Ed Caluag will host the series Mga Kuwento Sa Dilim. Documentaries like The Rey Valera Story: Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko and Doc Willie Ong: Ang Inyong Lingkod will soon be available on the platform.

Juanetworx will also stream concerts and K-drama series to cater to its users’ various preferences and give them options.

The newest entertainment hub will also feature sexy content, starting with the sexy drama Erotixa starring Christian Bables and Ali Forbes and another sexy suspense titled Ang Huling Burlesk Queen.

Besides entertainment, Juanetworx also offers a helpline that services Filipinos inside and outside the country. Tan explained that users only need to press a button on the platform to access the helpline. Once in contact, users only need to convey their emergency to the agents, and Juanetworx will connect them to the appropriate authorities or professionals.

“Ang ibibigay namin sa mga tao ay hindi lamang kaligayahan, hindi lamang entertainment, kung hindi proteksiyon para sa bawa’t isa, lalo na yung wala rito sa bansa (mga OFW),” Fider said.

For only the P100 membership fee, users can access all of Juanetworx’s content.
