Some 600 families who lost their homes to a fire in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City two weeks ago received food packs from the Naval Reserve Center-Eastern Visayas on Sunday, June 19, 2022.
“We are your navy. We will help anytime and anywhere within our means,” said NRCen-EV commander Cdr. James Francis Lugtu.
NRCen-EV, along with Philippine Navy Reservists and ROTC cadets rolled out the feeding program and distributed food packs from Rise Against Hunger led by its executive director, Jomar Fleras, and Simply Share Foundation led by its executive director, Pamela Baricuatro. The food packs were repacked Saturday at the NRCen-EV headquarters, with the help of representatives from AXA Philippines.
