UniTeam senatorial aspirant Herbert “Bistek” Bautista could not restrain his outrage after he was sabotaged at their group’s campaign rally in Quezon City.
In a statement, Bautista said he fought for his rights after being blocked at the event by his group, even though he had a UniTeam pass for all its events.
Only in Quezon City — where he served nine years as mayor, from 2010 to 2019 — was his pass not accepted.
According to event guards, Bautista could not enter the rally because he did not have a bracelet pass. However, other UniTeam senatorial bets were not wearing bracelets.
Aside from not letting Bautista in, a staff member also tripped him over at the event.
“Pinatid ako. Nakita niyo pinatid ako?” Bautista told people outside the event.
Witnesses of the incident immediately agreed.
“Bistek” continues to campaign despite the lack of campaign funds because he wants to continue serving the Filipinos.
