DTI campaign

The Department of Trade and Industry-Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau clamps down P5.89-million worth of uncertified products in the National Capital Region and Visayas in March. The agency confiscated 37,870 pieces of uncertified products after conducting periodic series of random spot-checking activities in 324 local establishments. The DTI issued a notice of violation to 175 outlets for selling consumer products without the quality mark and required markings and labels to attest that the products passed the DTI-Bureau of Philippine Standards product mandatory certification process and are declared safe for use by end-consumers.
