A Singapore Airlines (SIA) plane gets a cold welcome—a water cannon salute actually–upon its inaugural flight arrival at the Davao City airport. SIA now officially serves Davao City in addition to Cebu City, taking over the route vacated by SilkAir in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
