‘Longest journey’

The Embassy of Spain in the Philippines and the National Museum of the Philippines recently unveiled “The Longest Journey: The First Journey Around the World” exhibit, now on display at the National Museum of Fine Arts. From left, H.E. Most Reverend Archbishop Charles John Brown III, Apostolic Nuncio; Hon. Jeremy Robert M. Barns, Director-General, National Museum; Evangeline Lourdes “Luli” Arroyo-Bernas, Chair of the Board of Trustees, National Museum; H.E. Jorge Moragas Sanchez, Ambassador of Spain to the Philippines; and Dr. Andrew L. Tan, Chairman, Alliance Global Group, Inc. were present during the opening of the exhibit, which chronicles important milestones, as well as artifacts and documents, of the first circumnavigation of the world by Ferdinand Magellan and Sebastian Elcano.
