Promdi presidential candidate Sen. Manny Pacquiao is ready and willing to attend all debates and media fora provided that these are mainstream and are non-partisan.
He said attending public debates and all forms of public fora is both an obligation to the people and an opportunity for candidates to amplify their visions and their platforms of government.
“This is also a venue for candidates to show to the people what they have done for the country that can provide them the edge in winning the hearts and minds of the electorate,” Pacquiao said.
Among the frontrunners in the May 9 polls, Pacquiao said he is the one who had no political advertisements in TV and radio.
“So, I welcome these opportunities to share with our people my dreams for them, especially the poor,” he said.
Pacquiao also thanked broadcast journalist Jessica Soho for staying true to her profession by throwing hard questions to provide the public a preview of the kind of leadership that they should expect from the presidential candidates.
He said that not once did he feel that Soho was biased for him or against him all throughout the interview.
Pacquiao also thanked the other presidential candidates who generously shared to the people their aspirations and their thoughts about the presidency.
He particularly expressed gratitude to Vice President Leni Robredo for her kind words when she said she would vote for him if she were not running for the presidency.
