Metro Manila police director P/Maj Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. on Thursday commended his men from the Northern Police District for the successful anti-drug operations resulting in the arrest of five drug dealers and the seizure of shabu worth more than P1.8 million.
Danao particularly congratulated the anti-narcotics operatives from the Valenzuela, Navotas, and Caloocan City Police Stations for their latest accomplishments.
The authorities conducted the buy-bust operation last Wednesday in Barangay Gen T. De Leon, Valenzuela City where they arrested Gerhel Jumawan, alias “Dhan Dhan,” 36; and Jeorge Javier, alias “Jay Jay,” 35, both residents of Ignacio Compound, Sta Queteria, Caloocan City.
Aside from the confiscated 185 grams of shabu, police also seized a mobile phone, a sling bag, P1,500 cash, and the boodle money used in the entrapment operation.
Earlier on the same day, the Caloocan City police arrested Noramsa Pangkatan, alias Opaw, 31, and Oding Mocado, alias Oding, 24, both residents Domate Avenue Phase 12 in Barangay 188 Tala, Caloocan City.
One of the policemen acted as a buyer and was able to negotiate with the suspects along Conception Road, also in Barangay 188.
Seized from the suspect were four plastic sachets containing 20 grams of shabu worth P136,000 and the buy-bust money.
Another drug dealer, whom the police did not identify, was arrested in Barangay San Roque, Navotas City were 19 grams of shabu worth P129, 200 were confiscated.
All the suspects are now under police custody and will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
