Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya – The provincial government here has launched a donation drive for the victims of earthquakes and typhoons in Cotabato City and Cagayan province, respectively.

Provincial Administrator Maybelle Blossom Dumlao-Sevillena said the donation campaign will run within the national and provincial offices in the provincial capitol here.

“The provincial government would like to extend its helping hands in bringing love, comfort and the feeling of importance to the victims of tragedies by knocking at your hearts,” she said.

Dumlao-Sevillena said the donations can be given in the form of monetary assistance, hygiene kits (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, tissue, soap), biscuits, canned goods and rice.

“Please bring your donations on or before December 16 at the designated drop points in front of our office within the provincial capitol,” she added.

Early this month, Typhoon ‘Quiel’ also lashed Cagayan province with reported damage worth P1.8 billion on infrastructure, crops and livestock and even flooding 16 towns, displacing nearly 39,000 villagers.

The province was again ravaged by typhoon ‘Ramon’ last week, which caused flooding in many areas and displaced unknown number of villagers.
