Ready for SEAG

The Standard Insurance men’s and women’s duathlon team showed its readiness for the 30th SEA Games by sweeping the recent Singapore 60 Duathlon International. Standout duathlete Joey de los Reyes placed first, while Jarvin Banatao took second in the mean’s elite division. Elite athlete and Asian duathlon queen Monica Torres and veteran campaigner Jeslie Sabado finished 1-2 in the women’s elite. Emmanuel Commendador wound up fourth. With them was Triathlon of the Philippines and national team coach Bernie Llentada (right). The local squad will be competing against national teams of Singapore and Malaysia in biennial meet to be held at the Subic Bay Freeport this December.
