Manila has embarked on a beautification campaign to give a fresh and vibrant look to the city’s landmarks and historical sites like Jones Bridge where European-style lamp posts are being installed by city workers. Mayor Isko Moreno was quoted by ABS-CBN as saying the project was funded with P20 million by Chinese traders.
