“We keep track of our graduates and we are proud to say that they were already either gainfully employed or are now managing their own business,” he said.

De Guzman said two of the successful graduates of the TESDA-TC located in barangay La Torre North in this town are now in Canada and the Middle East.

Recently, TESDA-TC conducted its 3rd Founding Anniversary celebration and Commencement Exercises where 372 graduates of various technical skills and education were honoured and recognized.

A new building, worth P6.5 million is about to be completed this year.

The building fund was sourced by Rep. Luisa Cuaresma and augmented by TESDA with P1.2 million for the provision of its training facilities.

“Our recent number of graduates was the biggest so far as we cater to various towns in our province and even our neighboring towns of Ifugao and , Nueva Ecija, among others,” De Guzman further said.

The graduates, he added completed the following technical courses: driving, dressmaking, beauty care and shielded metal arc welding.

The TESDA-TC was the brainchild of Mayor Ralph Lantion to develop the skills of poor villagers and provide them opportunities for employment.

It is managed and operated by the local government unit of Bayombong in partnership with the TESDA.

The first building was rehabilitated thru the funding assistance of the Col. Daniel Lantion Foundation through retired Police General Thompson and Mayor Ralph Lantion.
