Twenty-three celebrities will spearhead the participants joining the Resorts World Manila’s fun run for charity, Run with Me X,  now on its fourth year.

The fun run will be held as Resorts World Manila celebrates its 10th year anniversary.

“It’s (run) now on its fourth staging since 2016 as an internal event. And as years went by, lumaki nang lumaki,” said Joee Guilas, RWM Director for Corporate Communications on the award-winning activity.

Last year’s run drew around 5,000 entries and organizers are looking forward to having more this time.

The race is seen to ger bigger and better as it opens registration for the August 25 event at the SM MOA concert grounds.

“As an internal event, we have opened it up to the public following the 2018 edition,” added Guilas on the footrace.

The fun run coincides with celebrations of the integrated resort’s first decade in the industry.

This year’s Run With Me X will again open four race categories at 32K, 21K, 10K, and 5K distances, with organizers expecting over 8,000 runners to participate.

Registration period is set until August 24, with corresponding rates of P1,600 for the 32-kilometer run; P1,400 for the 21K; P1,200 for the 10K; and P1,000 for the 5K.

All race kits will include singlet, race bib, timing chip, and hydration bottles.

Five charity beneficiaries will share portions of the proceeds from the five celebrity-led teams.

Last year, the charity event raised P3.5 million for YESPinoy Foundation, HEROFoundation, Right Start Community Development, Inc., Empowering Brilliant Minds Foundation, ERDA Tech Foundation, and EPCALM Adult Leukemia Foundation.

Some of the celebrities joining are Korina Sanchez, Gian Magdangal, OJ Mariano, Myke Salomon, Jeffrey Hidalgo, Norman Pascual,  Neil Perez, Ara Mina, Chuckie and Yen Dreyfus, Polo Ravales, Paulyn Quiza, Yael Yuzon, Jana Victoria, Will Devaughn, Jay Kent, Rovilson Fernandez, Meg Imperial, Ray Gibson and Ronnie Liang.
