In celebration of Mother’s Day, the local government of Muntinlupa through the Gender and Development Office honored eight outstanding women. Brgy. Tunasan resident Lilian Enriquez (center) was hailed this year’s champion in the Search for Gawad Ulirang Ina, receiving a P55,000 cash incentive and a trophy in the awarding ceremony at Ayala Malls South Park, Alabang last May 25. Finalists were Avelina Destura (Poblacion), Herminia Pascua (Putatan), Leticia Guevarra (Sucat), Luzviminda Gutierrez (Bayanan), Mayumi De Mesa (Alabang), Graciana Rosel (Buli), and Zenaida Villas (Cupang). Finalists received cash prizes amounting to P35,000 each. Attending the ceremony were Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, Rep. Ruffy Biazon, and Gender and Development Office Program Director Trina Biazon.
