The Public Works Department is currently doing clearing operation at the rocknetting area in Barangay Camp 4, Kennon Road, Tuba, Benguet. Due to intermittent rains, Kennon Road was declared closed since May 23. The danger of loose falling rocks and debris have become a perennial road problem besetting Kennon Road due to its unstable mountainous terrain. The road was built during the American Colonial period and was a favored route among motorists, DPWH advises motorists to be extra cautious in traversing Kennon Road. Recently, motorists chose to pass by the road this weekend to attend the Philippine Military Academy 2019 graduation rites where no less than President Rodrigo Duterte as the guest of honor.
