The Department of Public Works and Highways formally started the construction of New Public Attorney’s Office Central office building in a 5,175-square meter property at the National Government Center located at Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.
The groundbreaking ceremony was led by (from left) Department of Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, Chief Public Attorney Persida Rueda-Acosta and DPWH Assistant Secretary Antonio Molano Jr., (4th, 5th and 6th from left), and joined by other officials from the DOJ, PAO and National Housing Authority. According to Guevarra, National Government agency attached to DOJ, PAO deserves a building of its own to be a place of productivity in providing free legal assistance to the ever-growing influx of clients.
