Boracay cleanup

Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc. president and chief executive Gareth McGeown (right) presents a unique handbag made from up-cycled Coke pull tabs and handcrafted by the artisan women of the Coca-Cola 5by20 program to Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat.  Coca-Cola signed a memorandum of agreement with the Tourism Department and the local government unit of Malay, Aklan to provide a surf rake that will help keep Boracay’s shores clean. As a part of CCBPI’s global World Without Waste goal, Coca-Cola plans to replicate the surf rake project in several other top beach destinations in the Philippines.
