After a four-year hiatus, Miss Teen Philippines returns this year, highlighting the Filipino youth’s “global readiness through education.”
Thirty-two teen candidates from all over the country will vie for the crown on May 8 at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta Center Cubao, Quezon City.
More than just a beauty search, the pageant will serve as a platform for the eventual winner to become a youth ambassador. She will then promote the importance of education by empowering the new generation in the global arena.
“We are looking for an exceptional winner who is not just a pretty face, but must also be at the forefront in promoting our cause and be a role model among her peers,” said Youth Empowerment Through Education Foundation Inc. director Regine Angeles.
From National Capital Region, the pre-qualifying winners are Allison Pineda, Treisha Rovero, Bea Bianca Racelis, Aira Mae Gloria, Sarah Joffe, and Princess Kein Guanzon.
Meanwhile, Luzon has 11 candidates, namely Mikki Angela Barcela, Thiara Maria San Pablo, Leizl Anne Iñigo, Ivy Padilla, Erin Esquivel, Riza Carrillo, Samantha Pagar, Frenzel Lapus, Maria Czarina Bojos, Gianne Pearl Leuterio, and Myrna Esguerra.
Visayas is sending Regine Claude Romero, Patricia Lynn Beerda, Joanna Kalkaschmidt, Leigh Chanelle Ong, Karla Marie Niere, Kaylah Sanchez, Olive May Sophia Bihag, Nicole Borromeo, and Kaye Rollins to the pageant.
Finally, Mindanao has six candidates, namely Kamyll Migueyl Pla, Francine Georgina Gamboa, Nikki Advincula Moura, Heart Jastine Celo, Jamayla Diane Ampis, and Kayshia Joana Mandoga.
The winner will take home P300,000 cash prize. The first runner-up will receive P200,000, while Miss Teen Philippines—Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will each get P100,000. The coronation night will be aired in ABS-CBN on May 19 at 10:30 p.m.
