iACADEMY has been chosen by Amazon Web Services, a subsidiary of Amazon that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms, as the first and only school in the Philippines to offer Cloud Computing Certification Courses.
This partnership allows iACADEMY to embed subjects in its curriculum that allow its graduates not only to have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree but also get certified in the various Cloud Computing Courses of Amazon.
“The demand for cloud computing professionals has risen tremendously for the past few years. This partnership will give our students the chance to become AWS certified cloud computing professionals thereby making them even more valuable and will increase their chance for employment both here and abroad,” said Vanessa Tanco, President and CEO of iACADEMY.
Three of iACADEMY’s full time faculty recently took and passed the Cloud Computing Practitioner certification exam, namely Mel Obedoza, SHS Assistant Principal handling the specialized programs in SHS; Bennett Tanyag, Chairperson for Software Engineering and Web Development, and Mitch Andaya, Dean of iACADEMY School of Computing.
The AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Examination is awarded to deserving academic practitioners, individuals, and professionals who have the knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate an overall understanding of the AWS Cloud.
