Dasmariñas City Mayor Elpidio F. “Pidi” Barzaga Jr. led the ceremonial blessing and turnover of 75 Hilux Barangay Patrol Units to 75 barangays and two Police Mobile Outposts on Saturday at the Dasmariñas Integrated High School Open Grounds in Cavite.
Father Gabriel Chiniona ministered the blessing ceremony. The turnover was done in the presence of former Governor Jonvic Remulla, Police Provincial Director Senior Supt. William Segun, Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Edward Carranza, and the City Chief of Police, Supt. Nerwin Ricohermoso.
Along with the City Mayor, the guests were welcomed by Cavite Rep. Jenny Austria-Barzaga, Vice Mayor Raul Rex Mangubat, Board Member Rudy Lara, city councilors, barangay officials, Kiko Barzaga, Robin Cantimbuhan, and Glenn Malihan.
The City Government allotted P83.382 million for the purchase of all the mobile patrol units, and an additional P6.9 million for the two mobile outposts.
The mobile outposts will be stationed in strategic locations of the City as determined by the Dasmariñas City Police Station. Just like the two existing outposts stationed in Waltermart-Dasmariñas and Central Mall-Savemore in Salitran, these will be manned by uniformed City police men.
Deterrence of crime has always been the primary mission of the City Government, said Barzaga. Throughout the years, maintenance of public order, peace, safety, and security has been proven central to Dasmarinas’ continued growth and progress.
“Hence, the City remains committed and proactive in devising ways through which policing could be made more innovative, efficient, and effective. This milestone event attests to it,” he said.

PTZ programmable joystick controller support multiple protocol and camera; 8” TFT Flat screen monitor for CCTV with RCA and DVI port; and 3-colors police car siren (blinker) with audio, alarm and horn, and master control box.
The state-of-the-art mobile outposts, meanwhile, sit on a 13-square-meter area and measures 5.2 meters by 2.5 meters.
They are furnished with a built-in LED wall, LED panel lights, 1 HP aircon, CCTV system with 5 cameras, and an i5 desktop computer with Wi-Fi, and 8-channel network video recorder with 4 SATA 6.0TB Hard disk Drive, HDMI, VGA, USB and audio port.
They also have a rack mountable UHF Dual wireless microphone system with BNG patented audio reference for crystal clear sound; and weatherproof LAX column speaker.
They also have two LED blinkers and four fog lights, two exhaust fans and one hot and cold water dispenser inside the outpost.
“It is deemed that the newly distributed barangay patrol units and mobile outposts would lend the policing service in the entire City more effective. They would improve the response time of the law enforcers to crimes and emergencies,” Barzaga said.
Furthermore, they would add to police visibility which could deter criminal activities, the mayor added. “Certainly, this project is a big step to capacitate City peace and order agents towards an efficient dispense of their mission,” he said.
“Truly, the City Government is serious in its efforts to prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order, and ensure the public safety of Dasmarineño. Undoubtedly, it is determined to gear up for a safer Dasmariñas!” Barzaga said.
