Workers from the Department of Engineering and Public Works put up signages informing the public on the temporary closure of the Manila Zoo starting on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada has ordered the indefinite closure of Manila Zoo after the Department of Environment and Natural Resources tagged it as one of Manila Bay’s major pollutant and to give way to the construction of sewer lines.
